Rooted In Tradition. Reimagined for Today

Ethnoscape began with a simple thought— why does so much of the art around us feel disconnected from who we are?

Growing up surrounded by colours, patterns, and the richness of Indian traditions, I was always drawn to the beauty of detail—the kind that quietly stays with you.

But when it came to bringing that same feeling into our own spaces, something was missing.
What was available often felt either too generic, or too far removed from its roots.

Ethnoscape was born from that gap.

An attempt to bring Indian folk art closer—
not as something preserved in time,
but something that evolves, adapts, and becomes a part of everyday living.

Each piece begins quietly.
A brushstroke. A form. A thought.

It evolves through layers of detail and colour—
shaped with patience, guided by craftsmanship—
until it becomes something more than art.

A presence.

Inspired by tradition, yet created for modern spaces, every work is designed to feel like it belongs—naturally, effortlessly.

Mission

We believe art is not meant to be distant. It should be lived with. Felt in everyday moments. Quietly becoming a part of your space. Rooted in Indian folk traditions, our work is guided by detail, patience, and intention—reimagined through a contemporary lens. Because what is created with care, holds meaning beyond its form.

Vision

A space is personal—and the art within it should be too.

At Ethnoscape, we help you visualise before you choose.
Through personalised mockups on your walls, you can see how each piece truly fits into your space.

So what you select doesn’t just look right—
it feels right.

About me

My name is Alexa Young

From the Founder,

I’m Malli, the artist behind Ethnoscape.

With a background in architecture, I’ve always been drawn to how spaces shape the way we feel. Over time, that understanding turned into a more personal journey—one that led me towards art.

I work with watercolours and acrylics, focusing on fine detailing and handcrafted expression. For me, the process is slow, intentional, and deeply personal.

Ethnoscape is a reflection of that journey—
a way of bringing together tradition and contemporary living, detail and emotion.

Creating pieces that don’t just fill a space,
but quietly become a part of it.
